Bright Futures Academy and the Pearl Program are running two youth basketball programs in South Seattle this October and November — the 3-on-3 league at Rainier Beach Community Center and pre-season training at Rainier Community Center. Both are free to join, and both put leadership training alongside the basketball.
Funded by a Get Moving grant from Seattle Parks & Recreation.

Grades 3–5 train on Tuesday evenings. Grades 6–12 compete on Sunday afternoons. Every player in both programs goes through the Pearl leadership curriculum.
Two different gyms, two similar names. The 3-on-3 league plays at Rainier Beach Community Center (8825 Rainier Ave S). Pre-season training is at Rainier Community Center (4600 38th Ave S) — about 3 miles north. Check the address before you drive.

Ten team spots in the league. That's the whole field.
Once ten captains have registered their rosters, the 3-on-3 league is closed for the fall. Pre-season training for grades 3–5 has more room, but the gym still has a cap.
